Digital X-Ray

Just like conventional X-ray technology, the digital X-ray is used to permeate tissue and bone structures. Digital X-ray does not use film exposure; instead, a digital image plate is read by a laser scanner and saved as an image by the computer. Due to the higher sensitivity and the possibility of digital postprocessing, the radiation dose is significantly lower while repeat imaging due to under- or overexposure of the image can be avoided.

With digital radiography, all the organs and bones of the body can be examined to diagnose a variety of diseases. Special imaging of the lungs, the heart, and the gastrointestinal tract is also possible.

Just like for other diagnostic procedures, a prior appointment is necessary for the examination of the gastrointestinal passage.
